Royal Horticultural Society

 

We are delighted that the Royal Horticultural Society have accepted our application to exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show, the most prestigious garden event in these islands. The dates are May 20th to 24th, 2008.

    Mayo North Family Heritage Centre - specialises in the production of individually researched Family History reports and is a magnet for people who wish to learn more about their heritage, drawing visitors from around the world

    A Celebration of Bealtaine for all the family
    Busy Months at Airfield - over 2,000 native Irish trees recently planted, new lambs jumping, 40,000 planted spring bulbs, extensive arts programme including concerts, theatre, exhibitions and a variety of workshops.
  • Bantry House
    Sarah McQuaid will be singing in the Library at 8 pm on Saturday, 3rd May. Tickets can be bought from West Cork Music 027-52788.
    An allotment scheme at Bantry House in the walled garden has begun recently. Inspired by this, there is a workshop with Madeleine McKeever of Brown Envelope Seeds at 2 pm on Saturday 10th May, and then John Evans, who produces Fertilive, will give a talk and slide presentation in the Stables Courtyard at 3 pm, the same day.

  • Kilmokea Country Manor & Gardens
    Friday 2nd May - Art Exhibition as well as the launch of the Hook Bank Holiday ‘Festival by the Sea’.
    Deputy Sean Connick T.D. is coordinating the launch of both events at 6.30pm and on Saturday we are hosting a working exhibition of Stitchers/Embroiderers.
